Oh my goodness! Today’s recipe is going to knock your pizza lovin’ socks off. There are loads of really good banting/low carb pizzas out there. We know because we’ve pretty much tried them all – cauliflower base, cheese and egg base, flaxseed flour base. But, none of them come close to this one right here. Why? Because this is the first one that looks, feels and tastes just like the real thing, only better. And healthier. Delicious Fat Head Pizza – get in my face!

Delicious Fat Head Pizza

Delicious Fat Head Pizza
(Makes 2)

Ingredients:

Base
1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
¾ cup almond flour
2 tablespoons cream cheese
1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
1 egg
½ teaspoon salt
olive oil to grease your hands

Topping
½ lb italian sausage
1 tablespoon butter
½ cup unsweetened tomato sauce
½ teaspoon dried oregano
1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions:

1.Preheat the oven to 200°C.
2.Heat the mozzarella and cream cheese in a small pan on medium heat.
3.Stir until they melt together. Add the other ingredients and mix well.
4.Oil your hands and flatten the dough on parchment paper, about 20 cm in diameter. You can also use a rolling pin to flatten the dough.
5.Make holes with a fork and bake for 10–12 minutes until golden brown and remove from the oven.
6.Meanwhile, sauté the ground sausage meat in olive oil or butter.
7.Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the crust. Apply the meat and a lot of cheese and bake for 10–15 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
8.Sprinkle oregano on top and serve with a green salad.
