Way 2 wine trail run (9 November)
Pimp up your trainers and head for the Winelands for the 1st ever WAY2WINE Trail Run & Wine Extravaganza and discover some of the best kept secrets of the Bottelary Hills on the outskirts of Stellenbosch.
This brand new 12km Trail Run and Wine Tasting Run/Walk will take you along a scenic vineyard route and uncover some of the most beautiful hidden wine farms the Bottelary area has to offer.
The route will make its way through the vineyards of Kaapzicht, Mooiplaas, Fort Simon, Goede Hoop and Groenland.
With a wine stop at every 2km, and a festive atmosphere at each new farm, this is an event for all the fun seeking, wine loving adventure enthusiasts out there. So gather your family and friends, or round up your colleagues for a great office team building day, and a great year end bash.

Waterkloof Six Senses Evening (14 November)
Joining Waterkloof will be more than 20 local wine producers and 10 restaurants who will be sharing their pride and pleasures for tasting and sale with like-minded food and wine enthusiasts during this exclusive affair.
Guests will be able to sip on wine whilst chatting to the winemakers, and enjoy the classy ambiance with tasting portions of signature dishes from the participating restaurants

Helderberg Wine Festival (14 – 17 November)
The 2013 Helderberg Wine Festival kicks off on 14 November and once again around 20 wineries from Stellenbosch, Somerset West, Sir Lowry’s Village and Faure will participate in this annual event.
This year there are three exciting events which are sure to be crowd-pleasers.
Thursday, 14/11: Six Senses Evening at Waterkloof. All wineries come together with their restaurants and set up in the spectacular cellar building at Waterkloof overlooking False Bay for an evening of wine tasting and signature dishes from each chef. Tickets are R200 each and includes the tasting, a multi-day festival pack, R50 food coupons (more for sale) and entrance to the event.
Friday, 15/11: Movie Night at Blaauwklippen Vineyards. Jive like Greased Lighthing at our outdoor movie show, “GREASE”, which includes a free popcorn and a 1-day (R150) or multi-day festival ticket (R200). Seating provided or bring your own. Eats and drinks for sale. (No BYO). Gates open 18h00, movie from R1930.
Saturday, 16/11: ECHO dinner/dance at the NH Lord Charles Hotel with participating wineries sponsoring the wine, Amorim Cork presenting their works anda 3-course meal, live music, a charity auction and Summer Smart outfits creating the vibe! The Farm Fest (16 November)
The Farm presents a music festival with a first class line up comprising of South Africa`s top artists, with the likes of Jack Parow, Van Coke Kartel, Just Jinjer and aKing you are guaranteed an unforgettable festival experience from start to finish.
The Cape Town Ostrich Farm is 20min drive from Cape Town central and with free overnight camping this show has all the appropriate conveniences in place!

The 2nd wine fair event where you can taste over 50 boutique estate wines.
All wines will be sold at a discounted price on the day. Fun, food, music and simply great top producing boutique wineries on show.

Event starts at 12pm and ends at 5pm.
Synergy (29 November – 1 December)
Cape Town’s legendary music and lifestyle festival returns to the beautiful Theewaters Sports club on the edge of the Theewaterskloof Dam.
Soak up the sun, pitch a tent, relax and rock out to a mind-blowing line-up of more than 100 local and international bands, comedians and DJ’s performing on four different stages for 3 whole days. Expect loads of attractions including fun fair rides, artisan food stalls, water sports and much more.

The Franschhoek Cap Classique and Champagne Festival ‘The ‘Magic of Bubbles’ (30 November & 1 December)
Well-known MCC producers participating in this popular festival include Pierre Jourdan, Morena, Môreson, La Motte, Boschendal, Leopard’s Leap, Noble Hill, Plaisir de Merle, Anthonij Rupert Wines, Graham Beck Wines, Krone, Simonsig, Steenberg and Villiera. Some of France’s best Champagnes will be represented by brands such as Billecart Salmon, Champagne Guy Charbaut and Veuve Clicquot.
The theme for this year’s festival is black and white, with an emphasis on spots and stripes. In keeping with a tradition that is now as much a part of the festival as is the bubbly, a prize will be awarded to the best dressed couple on each day.
Tickets cost R200 per person and include access to the festival which is open between 12pm and 5pm on 30 November and 1 December, a complimentary tasting glass and tasting coupons. Additional vouchers can be purchased on the day. Children under 18 years will be allowed free entry to the festival.

Happie Appie Apricot Carnival (29 November – 1 December)
Happie Appie is the carnival theme, inviting visitors to join in local festivities, which start on Friday evening with a Christmas craft market, majoring on a Saturday showcase in the main street and with family-focused Sunday fun around the area.
